Our Women are in action this weekend, as they travel north to Manchester to take on Mystics at the Manchester Basketball Arena.
Rockets are still hunting for their first win of the season, having come unstuck in their last two games against Team Birmingham Elite in Longbridge and then at home to Derbyshire Trailblazers last weekend.
However, their performance in the first quarter against Trailblazers, after which they led, and their performance for the majority of the game against Elite will give Coach Peter’s Women hope that they can find their form this Sunday.
Michelle Turner is out for Rockets this weekend, as is Emma James and Grace Turton.
The Opposition
Manchester Mystics sit second in the table, with three wins and one defeat from four games. Mystics will have their eyes set on promotion this season and as such should prove a good challenge for Rockets.
Around the League
On Saturday Derbyshire Diamonds play Derby Trailblazers in a local derby as both sides look to make a break out of mid-table.
Then on Sunday, Bromsgrove Bears take on Stockport Lapwings in this top of the table encounter that sees third take on first.
