Rockets return to action tomorrow with seven games set to take place over the course of the weekend.
Our Under 14 Boys Conference get things started at 12:20 on Saturday against Shrewsbury Storm, with Coach Gaskell’s side looking to build on last weekend’s win against a Shrewsbury side who are also still finding their feet at this level.
The visiting Storm are 2-6 and just above Rockets in the standings making for an intriguing matchup to start the day’s fixtures.
Coach Ricardo D’Alva’s Under 18 Boys Premier are next up at Nechells Wellbeing Centre, with his side also keen to kick on in 2023 – they welcome Surrey Rams in a 14:20 tip.
The final home game of the day sees our undefeated Men’s First Team play host to ENCON Derbyshire Arrows at 19:30.
Rockets defeated Derbyshire back in October and will be looking to record a fourteenth consecutive league win with victory against a solid Arrows side.
Derbyshire took our closest challengers St Helens Saints the distance just before Christmas, with a hail Mary full court shot condemning Derby to defeat after a tight game – they will be looking to be the first side to take down the Rockets in league action this season so we will need your support!

Saturday sees our Under 14 Boys Premier and Under 16 Boys Conference sides both away from home.
Coach Tavares’ U14 side make the journey north to Cheshire to face the Phoenix – after a convincing win against the same opposition at Nechells early in the season, it may prove to be an ideal time to play the winless Phoenix after last weekend’s tough defeat to the table topping Newcastle Eagles.
The Under 16 Boys Conference make the short trip to Bromsgrove to face Bromsgrove Bears Grizzlies in the early afternoon.
Sunday sees two more of our teams take to the road, with the Under 16 Boys Premier getting the action started with a trip to Leicester Riders.
Riders sit in the middle of the pack as far as the league standings are concerned, whilst Rockets currently occupy top spot after a 10-1 first half of the season.
With full focus back on the league after a memorable run to the National Cup semi-finals came to an end last Sunday, Coach Douglas’ team will be eager to return to winning ways.
Our final game of the weekend sees our Under 18 Women’s side make the journey to Manchester to take on Mystics II.
Rockets sit in third place, just ahead of Mystics II, and will be looking to make it back-to-back wins after defeating the same opposition 76-56 just before the Christmas break.
