It’s set to be a busy weekend for your Birmingham Rockets with eight games scheduled across our Junior Performance Programme and first teams.
Rockets women return to play at Nechells for the first time since October tomorrow as we play host to Cardiff Met Archers in a 5pm tip.
Coach Clive Allen’s side will be looking to make it three wins in a row after comfortably dispatching of Plymouth (55-90) and Liverpool (42-89) in their last two outings.
Rockets men are in action straight after at 7:30pm with the team looking to bounce back to winning ways against the Milton Keynes Breakers.
Breakers edged a tight contest 89-93 back in September in the KitKing Trophy group stage, adding further narrative to an already intriguing matchup.

Rockets men are also in action on Sunday as the team make the short journey to the East Midlands to take on the Derby Trailblazers in the National Cup quarterfinals.
The high-flying Blazers currently sit second in NBL Division One (7-3), but Rockets will be keen to repeat our opening day win in Derby with a place in the semifinals up for grabs! Click here for fixture details and ticket information.
Junior Performance Programme
Under 16 Girls
Rockets Under 16 Girls will take confidence from last weekend’s win in Manchester as they prepare to face off against the Sheffield Hatters in tomorrow’s early game at Nechells.
Coach Clark’s side overcame Trafford Mystics 73-72 last weekend to climb up to eighth in the Northern Premier Division.
Sheffield lost their first game of the season against Manchester Mystics last weekend.
Under 14 Girls
It’s the battle of the undefeated title challengers tomorrow as Rockets (5-0) face the Mystics (6-0) at Nechells in a 2:20pm tip.
The girls have enjoyed a fantastic season so far, defeating all before them and racking up a +280-basket difference after just five league outings.
Tomorrow is sure to provide a tougher test, however, with both Rockets and the Mystics vying for top spot in the Northern Premier Division.
Under 18 Men
Coach Ricardo D’Alva’s Under 18 Men are away from home tomorrow as they travel to Surrey to play True Vision Elite Surrey at 1pm.
Rockets edged the reverse fixture 72-71 at Nechells on the opening day of the season and the team will be motivated to make it two from two against the southerners tomorrow afternoon!
Under 16 Boys
There are two junior away trips set for Sunday with Rockets Under 16 Boys up first in Leicester at 10am.
Coach Tavares’ side will be looking to heap the pressure on the Riders who currently sit second from bottom of the Northern Premier Division standings after picking up a solitary win all season.
Rockets dispatched of the East Midlanders 65-58 in the National Cup at the start of November and also overcame the same opposition 64-59 in the season opener back in September.
Under 14 Boys
Rockets Under 14 Boys are also on the road on Sunday with the team heading up north to face the Manchester Magic in a 11am tip.
A strong start from the Magic in the reverse fixture back in September saw the Mancunians claim a 62-49 win at Nechells in the opening game of the season.
Coach Gaskell’s team have done well to push on since then, however, currently sitting in fifth place in a competitive Northern Premier Division and the team will be looking to round off the calendar year on a positive note.
