Come on down to Hamstead Playing Fields between 12pm-2pm this Saturday for the launch of the fully refurbished court as part of Sport England, Birmingham City Council and Basketball England’s 2022 Commonwealth Games Legacy.
Fomer Rockets junior Myles Hesson, whose game-winning shot secured the 3×3 gold medal for Team England in 2022, began his basketball journey on this very court.
As well as experiencing the newly renovated court, there will be a lot going on during the afternoon, including:
- Basketball coaching with Birmingham Rockets coaches.
- Appearances from Rockets first team players.
- Giveaways and prizes.
- Special guests.
It is free to attend and no pre-registration is required – come along and enjoy an afternoon of basketball!
