Orlan Jackman Returns For 2024/25!

Birmingham Rockets are delighted to announce the return of Orlan Jackman to our men’s roster ahead of the 2024/25 National Basketball League (NBL) Division One season.

Orlan gained a reputation as something of a fan-favourite last season, enjoying a fantastic maiden campaign as a Birmingham Rocket.

A 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medallist, he brings a wealth of top-level experience to the group having enjoyed a career in the former British Basketball League and around Europe prior to joining Rockets last summer.

He also has extensive experience in NBL Division One after spells with Essex & Hertfordshire Leopards, Team Solent Kestrels & Worthing Thunder.

‘OJ’ was one of our top performers last season, averaging a double-double with 18.1 points-per-game and 11.4 rebounds-per-game.

Consistently one of the league’s top players in recent years, Orlan finished the year off strongly with a 31-point display against Derby Trailblazers on the final day of the 2023/24 season.

Orlan put up his second 30+ point game of the season on the final day of the 2023/24 season at Derby.

His finest display, however, was his 27-points and 19 rebounds against the then league-leading Essex Rebels back in March.

Dominating on both ends of the floor, Orlan led the Rockets charge as we ran out 89-73 winners at the Essex Sports Arena.

We look forward to seeing Orlan back on the court in a Rockets jersey this season.

Welcome back, Orlan!
