Birmingham Rockets are delighted to announce the addition of Lucas McGregor to our men’s roster ahead of the 2024/25 National Basketball League (NBL) Division One season.
Lucas joins Rockets after a spell with Irish Super League outfit Flexachem Killorglin in 2023/24.
Before moving to the south of Ireland, Lucas made a name for himself at Worcester Wolves after originally coming through the ranks at Shropshire Warriors.
He would lead Worcester to promotion to NBL Division Two before enjoying another stellar season in 2022/23 as the Wolves finished third and made the playoffs.
That would be Lucas’ final outing as a member of the Wolves before heading to Killorglin.
Lucas is, of course, familiar with a number of players on the roster and is looking forward to suiting up with them on the same side in 2024/25.
Speaking ahead of his unveiling he said, “It’s going to be a good season. I’ve played against most of the guys and now I’m looking forward to being out there wearing the same jersey!”
