Birmingham Rockets are delighted to announce the addition of Leon Henry to our men’s first team roster ahead of the 2024/25 National Basketball League (NBL) Division One season.
Leon was part of the Milton Keynes Breakers side that won the National Cup and gained promotion to Division One last season.
Originally from Northampton, Leon has represented the Northamptonshire Titans, Hemel Storm, Solent Kestrels, Leicester Warriors & Milton Keynes Breakers; earning himself a reputation as a proficient scorer in the NBL.
Standing at 6’4”, he will reinforce Coach Smith’s backcourt, adding defensive know-how and a potent threat from the perimeter.
Speaking ahead of his unveiling, Leon said: “I’m honoured to be a part of the City of Birmingham Rockets family this year.
“The culture, talent & coaching is exceptional and I cannot wait for the season to commence and put what we have on display!”
Coach Smith is also excited to have Leon join up with the group ahead of the season.
He said: “Leon is a high energy and intelligent player that can guard multiple positions and as soon as I seen him play, I knew I needed him on our team.”
