As we prepare to face off against University of Chester this Saturday at Nechells Wellbeing Centre, we reflect on our last meeting against this weekend’s opponent back at the beginning of October.
It proved to be a memorable afternoon for Coach Douglas’ side as we recorded our first league win of the season in commanding fashion.
Rockets were 0-1 for the season going into the game after opening night disappointment but rallied back in style to overturn Chester’s 24-19 first-quarter lead.
A rampant second-quarter performance saw us establish a lead that would remain in place until the end of the game with Coach Douglas’ side putting up 25 points whilst keeping our hosts to just 14.
Faaris Mughal tipped the scale in our favour with his basket putting us ahead 34-33 before we pulled away in the final two quarters.
Rockets would eventually run out 72-54 winners on the day.
