City of Birmingham Rockets Men’s First Team host Bristol Academy Flyers in a huge game for both sides at Nechells Wellbeing Centre tomorrow, tip-off 6pm.
Both sides are looking to cement their places in Division 2 for next season, with a win enough to take Rockets onto seven for the season ahead of a tough run-in.
The Opposition
Bristol sit just one place below Rockets in the standings having played three games fewer whilst in turn winning one less game.
Flyers won their last game at home against Team Birmingham Elite by way of a 53-48 scoreline.
This will the second time we have played Flyers this season after we claimed a 78-57 victory at their SGS Campus back in November.
A strong start in that game saw us open up a 25-8 lead by the first quarter break and Coach Douglas will be hoping for a start of similar intensity tomorrow.
Around the League
It’s set to be a busy weekend of action around the league as Nottingham Trent University Hoods host Myerscough Basketball Academy at Wildcats Arena to start the day.
Charnwood Riders play Doncaster Eagles at the same time before Encon Derbyshire Arrows make the journey to Northamptonshire Titans.
Our cross-city rivals Team Birmingham Elite travel to University of Chester for a 18:00 tip, before Manchester Magic host Bristol Hurricanes at 18:30 to round off the day’s action.
Our opponents Bristol Flyers head to Myerscough on Sunday before Nottingham Trent University Hoods vs Doncaster Eagles and Northamptonshire Titans vs Manchester Magic in a top of the table clash to round off the weekend.
