City of Birmingham Rockets’ Men’s First Team are back at Nechells Wellbeing Centre for their first game of 2022 on Saturday evening as they prepare to face off against University of Chester, tip-off 19:30.
The Rockets will be looking pull away from the middle of the pack with victory against the side we recorded out first victory of the season against back in October.

Rockets Recent Form
Despite successive defeats at the backend of 2021, Coach Douglas has been able to work with his side and welcome back a host of injured and unavailable players ready for the new year.
Rockets currently occupy seventh place in the NBL Division 2 standings, with both Myerscough and Encon Derbyshire Arrows just one victory ahead of us going into tomorrow’s round of games.
The Opposition
University of Chester, meanwhile, have endured a difficult season. They currently find themselves bottom of league standings having one just two of their 12 games.
Both of their victories came within a couple of weeks of each other back at the end of November and start of December, however, indicating an upswing in fortunes which Rockets will need to be wary of.
Bristol Academy Flyers were their first scalp of the season before they went on to edge Charnwood at the start of the following month.
