With the business end of the season upon us, there are key fixtures across the club as our Rockets teams look to realise their end of season objectives…

Men’s First Team
Your Birmingham Rockets Men returned to winning ways in dramatic style last Saturday as captain Martyn Gayle hit a three with just seconds remaining to seal the win up in Newcastle to put the team within touching distance of a playoff place.
Coach Smith’s side will be looking to follow that up with another win against a Bradford side who have struggled for form this season. The visitors currently sit in eleventh in the NBL Division One standings with a 4-12 record.
A win could move Rockets into a playoff spot – it’s a crucial game in the context of the season – come along and cheer your Rockets on from 7:30pm!

Women’s First Team
Our Women’s First Team are on the road tomorrow as they make the short journey to the East Midlands to take on Charnwood Riders.
Rockets edged a thrilling encounter 57-54 back in September with Sarah Mullgrave’s 17 point performance leading the way as Rockets got off to a winning start.
Coach Clive Allen’s side will be looking to put the frustration of their home defeat to Milton Keynes last time out behind them with the team looking to finish the season in a positive manner.

Under 16 Girls
Rockets Under 16 Girls make the trip north to Lancashire to take on the Spinners tomorrow afternoon!
The team will go into the game full of confidence on the back of last weekend’s 55-52 win in Bristol against the Flyers – a result that propelled the team to seventh in the Northern Premier.
Coach Clark’s side can also draw from their dramatic overtime win against the Spinners in the reverse fixture at Nechells back in November.
With just four league outings remaining the team will be eager to continue to build momentum heading into the final game weeks…

Under 16 Boys
It’s set to be a busy weekend for our Under 16 Boys with the team facing home and away games against City of Leeds Gold.
The away game is up first on Saturday with Coach Afonso and the team heading to Yorkshire for a 4pm tip.
Sunday sees us host the return fixture at 1:20pm.
Leeds have struggled so far this season and currently find themselves propping up the Northern Premier standings.
After winning their last three games, our Rockets are heading into the game in great form and will be looking to continue their assault up the table in the final weeks of the season!

Under 18 Men
Our Under 18 Men also have two games this weekend as they head to the south coast to take on Solent Kestrels and Brighton Bears.
Solent are up first on Saturday with the league’s second placed side sure to pose a stern challenge as they look to keep pace with the league leaders.
Rockets beat Brighton 69-68 in the reverse fixture at the start of January and will take confidence from that performance heading into Sunday’s matchup…
