Our Women’s First Team are in action on both Saturday and Sunday as they host Nottingham University Wildcats in a 5pm tip on Saturday with Coach Allen’s team look to maintain their 100% start to the WNBL Division Two season.
Junior Performance Programme
Under 18 Men
Coach D’Alva’s Under 18 Men’s team have a National Cup game this weekend as they take the weekend off from the league.
The team will be looking to learn from last weekend’s tough outings as the team travels to the University of Worcester to play Worcester Wolves at 1pm on Sunday.
The Wolves are currently playing in the division below, the Midlands Conference, but have enjoyed a strong start to the season having beaten Hereford Elite and West Brom 77-55 and 73-69 in their opening two games.
Under 16 Girls
Rockets Under 16 Girls have a busy weekend with a Northen Premier game on Saturday and a National Cup game on Sunday.
The girls start their weekend at 12:20 on Saturday at Nechells Wellbeing Centre, with Coach Clark’s team taking on the Manchester Mystics.
This is followed by a National Cup game on Sunday as the girls prepare to battle against the Leicester Riders at the Lighthouse Young People’s Centre in a 17:30 tip!
Under 16 Boys
Rockets Under 16 Boys are also turning their attention to the cup this weekend as they prepare for the start of what Coach Tavares’ is hoping will be a confidence building cup run for his side.
The team are in action at The Lighthouse Young People’s Centre this Sunday at 15:30 as they prepare to take on the Coventry Tornadoes.
Coventry have started their season with two wins and are yet to taste defeat in the Midlands II Conference, while Rockets are 1-1 to start their league season in the Northern Premier division.
Under 14 Boys
Coach Gaskell’s side have experienced two tough games to start the season and will be looking to get their first win of the season this weekend.
It looks set to be another tough challenge against a Leeds LDM team who have won both of their opening two games.
The schedule has not been favourable to the team, pitting them against two of the league’s top three teams so far, but Coach Gaskell will be eager to put the lessons learnt into practice in the coming weeks!
