Junior Performance Programme

Under 18 Men

Coach D’Alva’s Under 18 Men’s team have a doubleheader weekend with games against Surrey Rams and Cardiff Vale Vipers.

The team will be looking to pick up a second consecutive win as they host Surrey at Nechells Wellbeing Centre at 2:20pm on Saturday.

The Rams also won their first game of the season in the Western Premier division, a 91-61 win against Huish Taunton Tigers last weekend.

To round off a busy weekend, the team then travel to Wales on Sunday as they visit the Cardiff Vale Vipers in an 11:30am tip.

Under 16 Girls

Rockets Under 16 Girls are set to host Bromsgrove Bears in a 12:20pm tip at Nechells tomorrow afternoon.

Coach Clark’s side will be looking to learn from last weekend’s defeat against the 1-1 Bears, who enjoyed a narrow win against Lancashire before a tough defeat against Manchester Mystics last Sunday.

With the added impetus of the game being a local derby, it is sure to be an intriguing contest!

Under 16 Boys

The Under 16 Boys are another team that will be looking to maintain their 100% start to the season on Saturday afternoon.

Milton Keynes Breakers are the visitors to Nechells in a 2:20pm tip.

The visiting Breakers lost their league opener last weekend, a 79-75 home defeat against Manchester Magic, while Coach Tavares’ team recorded a 64-59 win over the Leicester Riders.

With both teams eyeing a challenge for a playoff spot, this could be one to watch out for this weekend!

Under 14 Boys

Coach Gaskell’s Under 14 Boys are also set to face off against the Milton Keynes Breakers in the Under 14 Boys Northern Premier, tip-off 12:20.

The team suffered a narrow loss against a strong Manchester Magic team last weekend – but demonstrated fantastic determination and resilience to fight their way back into the game.

That reliliance and team spirit will be crucual this season and tomorrow is sure to pose another stern test, with the Breakers having stormed to the top of the league standings after two emphatic wins against Manchester Swarm and St Helens Saints.
