Birmingham Rockets are delighted to announce the addition of Levi Noel to our men’s roster ahead of the 2024/25 National Basketball League (NBL) Division One season.
Levi adds a wealth of top-level and international experience to the roster having previously played for Leicester Riders & Surrey Scorchers in the former British Basketball League (BBL) as well as Italian side Air Basket Termoli.
After attending college at NCAA Division One school Eastern Illinois University, Levi transferred to Miami Dade College before returning to England to sign with the Riders in 2013 (pictured above).
He would remain in the midlands until 2017 before moving south to spend a year with the Surrey Scorchers ahead of his move to Italy in 2018.
Most recently, Levi played for fellow NBL Division One side Hemel Storm from 2020-2022.
Standing at 6″5, Levi has represented England/Great Britain at three age categories (U16, U18 & U20) and brings added defensive stability to the roster.
Levi is looking forward to taking to the court in a Rockets jersey this season and anticipates a positive year under head coach Charles Smith.
He said, “I am honoured to have been selected to play a part in this team’s journey.
“They have built the club from the ground up and deserve to achieve more great things for the City of Birmingham.
“I’m looking forward to suiting up with a talented group of guys and being coached by one of the greatest players in British basketball history.”
Head coach Charles Smith is equally excited about the prospect of working with Levi during the upcoming season.
“Levi is a big guard who can play on or off the ball”, he said.
His experience and ability to read the game is exactly what we need!”
Everyone associated with Rockets would like to welcome Levi to the club and we look forward to seeing him in a Rockets jersey very soon!
