The Rockets Academy at BMet return to Nechells Wellbeing Centre this afternoon to face Myerscough College in their latest EABL fixture, tip-off 3:20pm.
Two postponed fixtures in the past three weeks have halted the hopes of the coaching staff to build on our last home win against Sheffield, with our only fixture since that win three weeks ago a defeat away at Manchester Magic last Wednesday.
Whilst Rockets struggled to get going for periods last week, Miles Moore proved influencial yet again with another 20-point performance as he continues to impress this season.
Rockets return to their home court against a strong Myerscough side who have won four of their opening six games.
Despite their fast start, today’s visitors lost 75-65 to Charnwood College last week; although dangerman Stephen Asante still put up 27 points and is a player Rockets will have to be wary of this afternoon.
Rockets Academy have played four and won one so far, coming into today’s game in sixth place in the Northern Conference standings.
As we approach the season’s midway point, Coach Douglas’ side will be keen to build some momentum in the coming games and showcase the hard work that has been put in behind the scenes.
