City of Birmingham Rockets’ unique partnership with Birmingham Metropolitan College allows aspiring student-athletes the ability to combine their basketball development with academic study at the city’s largest post-16 education provider; with the opportunity to complete the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) as part of the Rockets Academy.
This new programme will also allow student athletes to compete in the Elite Basketball Academy League (EABL), the premier junior basketball college competition in the UK.
As part of our academy offering, players have access to up to 19 hours per week of basketball development – with a comprehensive on and off court offering including specialised strength & conditioning coaching and nutrition support.
Our dedicated coaching and support staff pride themselves on offering the best possible support to our student-athletes and are all experienced professionals with extensive experience in their respective fields.
